KillieOrCory's Fishroom is run by a husband and wife team. We are lucky enough to have a purpose built fishroom with over 100 small tanks.
We keep killifish and corydoras cats, but also keep and breed fish from many other groups as well. So expect keeping and breeding info on tetras, danios, angelfish, livebearers, wild bettas and many other small aquarium fish too.

@@MARKET_GARDNERI their care and breeding is the same. If you have the tank space they are a good option. Though have to be careful labeling containers with fry and eggs. The females especially look alike.
@@KillieOrCory I should be labelling so that I don’t accidentally mix their species?
@@KillieOrCory and can they create hybrids with gardneri? Just asking
@@MARKET_GARDNERI yes they will cross breed. Which is why good to label. I got I got 5 types of gardneri and nigerianum for in the fishroom. A bit of an effort to keep them all separate but labeling and not having them in adjacent tanks (because they all jump) is all I do.
@@KillieOrCory Yeah, killies jump, I had a female jump out of the tank when I first started keeping gardneri, demotivated me a little bit but didn’t stop me

the arrogance and ego of the new ichthyologists, who disrespectfully want to destroy with the study and work of old ichthyologists by imposing their criteria. What they should do is go discover new species for science and the aquatic hobby! instead of changing names to enhance their Ego.

Hey there was wondering, if there is no aquarium society groups where I am, can you send fish to other locations for auctions?
@@jospersonalaccount7776 Hi Jo, yes some auctions allow for non members to auction fish as well. It changes from society to society so it’s worthwhile to check where it is feasible for you to send fish. Big convention auctions get fish sent to them even from interstate. If I can be a bit cheeky; there is always opportunity to start one on a small scale if there is time 😊

Greetings from Canada! I was just curious if you guys have Blue Gularis in Australia?
Hi Gary, we did but it was lost in the last 4-5 years. In the past Blue Gularis was imported from Germany to Australia. Since COVID with increased shipping costs Australian wholesalers stopped importing fish from Germany. So we haven't had a new import of sjoestedti for a while.
